This beautiful A5 printed booklet includes the cross stitch chart in two colourways, piecing and construction instructions and many tips and hints to make your own beautiful Betsy Rose Quilt.
To celebrate 150 years of Liberty fabrics, sew.be curated, was invited to participate in a Liberty showcase by our wholesalers of Liberty.
The Betsy Rose Quilt combines the beautiful Betsy print with solids, gingham and a spot. It also features a beautiful rose cross stitch element. The quilt is machine pieced and includes some (optional) needle turn appliqué elements. The cross stitch is done with six stranded embroidery floss on gingham, making it relatively quick and easy. Of course you could swap this cross stitch element out for part of a vintage table cloth, or embroidery piece, if you preferred.
The quilt is lap sized – with finished measurements of 52" x 58". This allows you to back the quilt with a single drop of Liberty tana lawn for an entirely decadent feel.

Fabric Requirements for Quilt Top
7 x fat eighths of Betsy tana lawns (7 colourways)
0.5 metres of ¼" gingham (width of fabric 110cm)
1 metre of light blue linen (width of fabric 135cm)
0.3 meters of green solid (or chosen fabric)
0.35 metres of blue solid (or chosen fabric)
0.3 meters of vintage red solid (or chosen fabric)
0.55 metres of light pink solid (or chosen fabric)
0.25 metres of yellow spot (or chosen fabric)
Backing Fabric: 1.6 metres of Liberty tana lawn, or alternatively 2 drops of 1.6 metres of standard quilting cotton with a width of fabric of 110cm.
Binding Fabric: 0.5 metres.
And DMC Embroidery Floss in one of the two colourways

Delivery within New Zealand
Delivery within New Zealand is by Courier Post.
Shipping is free for orders over $150.00, except for rural deliveries which are a flat rate of $4.00. Orders under $150 will be charged at $6.00 for urban delivery and $10.00 for rural deliveries.
Bulky items are shipped at a flat rate of $15.
Delivery to Australia
We offer free shipping to Australia for all orders over $150. Orders under $150 will be charged a flat rate of $20.00.
International Shipping (excluding Australia and USA)
We are happy to send to you wherever you are in the world! You will only be charged the actual price of shipping to you. When you order through the website it will charge you NZ$50 (don't panic we will only debit you the actual price of shipping. If you would like an estimate of shipping costs contact us before you order online.
USA
Unfortunately New Zealand Post has temporarily suspended shipping to the US because of the Tariffs that have been imposed. Apologies to our much appreciated US customers. We hope this situation will be resolved quickly and we can continue to send parcels of joy to the US.
On the rare occasion if your order gets lost in transit please let us know as soon as possible so that we can follow it up with our courier company and NZ Post. We will then be able to lodge an insurance claim for the order.
